About the Author
Some stories are written because they happened.
Others are written because they need to be shared.
For Noshin Luff, Born Without Applause is both.
Born with a rare craniofacial difference and blindness in one eye, Noshin spent much of her childhood navigating surgeries, hospital corridors, and a world that often noticed her appearance before it noticed her humanity. Yet the greatest battles were not always visible. They were the quiet questions of identity, belonging, and self-worth that followed her long after the hospital visits ended.
Those experiences shaped her, but they never defined her.
Determined to transform pain into purpose, Noshin built a career as a Canadian physiotherapist, dedicating her life to helping others recover from injury, restore movement, and rediscover hope. Caring for others became one of the ways she learned to heal herself.
Born Without Applause is her debut memoir. Through honesty, compassion, and quiet reflection, she explores resilience, grief, identity, kindness, and the universal desire to be seen, understood, and loved.
Today, Noshin continues to practice physiotherapy while writing, speaking, and advocating for a world where people are known not by their appearance, but by the lives they choose to live.
She believes every person carries an unseen story, and that compassion begins the moment we choose to look beyond what is visible.
